DEPUTY TEAM LEADER, INVESTMENTS – Leading Financial Advisory
Consultancy
This leading consultancy specialises in the provision of financial advice to high net worth individuals. To help deliver this service, they have a centralised investment research team who provide high quality advice to financial planning professionals. They are now seeking an experienced Deputy Team Leader to support the investment research department.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Investment Director, you will pro-actively support the day-to-day management and operation of the team, its workflows and its internal and external customer relationships.
With a strong background in technical financial planning as well as broader industry awareness in financial services; you will perform the following key roles:
• Lead production of technical research in order to make timely and accurate recommendations on a full range of financial products.
• Make recommendations and support the production of reports, commentaries and briefings at the required level of detail covering the economy, the investment outlook, legislative and statutory developments and market developments as well as other investment issues, such as fund manager profiling and asset allocation strategy.
You will have an excellent mix of the following capabilities and track record:
• Client-facing and presentation skills with a strong customer focus; able to deal with demanding internal and external clients plus the ability to streamline support to busy fee-earning financial advisory teams and individual advisers.
• Excellent technical financial planning capabilities combined with first-class analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrable team management skills, organisational capabilities.
• First-class impact and influencing skills, via both written and verbal media.
• Proven experience of working effectively in an advisory, private client, fund manager or similar environment.
• Experience of knowledge management and automation of research and technical information in an investment research environment would be a significant advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
• BA/BSc degree or equivalent in a related subject.
• Chartered Financial Planner, including the advanced pensions exam.
• Excellent in-depth technical knowledge of the investment landscape with substantial relevant track record in delivery in a similar environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS applications.
Salary
Up to £80,000pa. Highly competitive basic salary, plus significant bonus available, and pension contribution.
