Team Leader / Senior Developer
Are you a talented programmer and web developer seeking the next challenge in your career? A leading consumer-orientated Web Based Marketing and Advertising agency is seeking a talented developer with expertise in PHP & MySQL to lead a team of personnel responsible for maintaining their core sites.
The Company
An internationally recognized market leader in Web Based Marketing and Advertising; in under five years the organization has grown from one person to a team exceeding 50 dedicated personnel based in three offices around the UK. In 2007 they enjoyed merchant sales exceeding £200 million, a figure which more than doubled in 2008 and is forecast to pass £800 million in 2009. They are now seeking talented IT professionals to support the company through its continued growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Web Project Manager, you will manage a team of 6 developers and be responsible for maintaining site performance of the company’s core website which supplies advertising to over 5,000 retailers and sees in excess 6,000,000 unique visitors each month.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining site performance
• Overseeing new project development
• Managing a team of front-end & back-end developers
• Training, developing & motivating the team
The Candidate
• Personable and a good motivator
• A self-starting coder, well versed in various technologies/languages
• Strong back-end abilities and extremely skilled in PHP & MySQL
• Zend certifications (beneficial but not essential)
Salary
£35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
