THE OPPORTUNITY
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Manager to join this fantastic strategic consultancy in their Central London office.
THE COMPANY
This fantastic opportunity has become available with an independent consultancy based in Central London who offer a powerful web-based service for local strategies and marketing. The company provides a geographical perspective on economic and social change. They boast a diverse client base, including both local and national organizations.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will manage the company’s database and support the development of this innovative research and analysis service.
The role will include:
- Managing the company’s database and metadata by updating and developing the database
- Supporting the development of the company’s service through; client liaison/attending conferences/developing new applications/aiding personal development
- Supporting the customer service programme
- Maintaining the data-related content for internal Audits
- Undertaking analysis of the database and making contributions to research, consultancy and publications
REQUIREMENTS
- 1st/2:1 degree, preferably in Social Sciences/Geography
- Experience in database management
- Experience in processing and analysing large amounts of spatial data
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using statistical analysis packages i.e. SPSS, GIS
- Knowledge of principles of information management
- A keen interest in geography and spatial analysis
The successful candidate will be highly organised, have the ability to multi-task, have great communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Salary Circa £25,000 - £35,000pa
