RECREATION ASSISTANT – Flagship Leisure Centre
This award winning borough council is now seeking an enthusiastic Recreation Assistant, to join the dynamic team at one of their flagship leisure centres in Kent.
The Opportunity
This represents a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and aspiring sports/recreation professional to forge their career with one of the country’s most highly regarded borough councils.
You will have the opportunity to assist in the provision, promotion and development of services within the boroughs largest leisure centre.
You will have the opportunity to provide coaching and teaching services to the centre and also provide lifeguarding duties for the centres swimming pool. You will also be involved in the planning and implementation of the centres Special Events programme.
The Responsibilities
You will be comfortable supervising and facilitating the operational activities of the centre, ensuring customer safety at all times.
You will be responsible that all equipment is stored properly and maintained in good order and safe condition.
You will provide assistance and support to the Duty Manager as and where required, including with the collection and reconciliation of all monies.
The Requirements
- NPLQ or equivalent recognised lifeguard qualification, or previous work experience in a sporting environment
- Confident and strong swimmer
- Ability to work shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends
Salary
£14,007 - £15,645pa
