PR Executive now immediately required!

This financial media company whose products and services provide the advisory and corporate community with actionable intelligence and data, is now seeking a PR Executive.

This person will provide support to the PR Manager and help execute PR activities to raise the profile of the company. He/she will be based in the head office in the city, London, and be part of the global Marketing and PR Team, reporting to the PR Manager.

Job responsibilities:

To be a key interface between external journalists and the Group, managing all data related queries from all types of external media, including print,on-line and TV (e.g. The FT, CNBC Europe) and developing strong relationships with these journalists.

To work closely with external journalists to ensure best use of Group data and to ensure maximum media coverage.

The person will need to be able to work independently and run mergers and acquisitions (M&A) related data for journalists directly from the Group site but in other instances he/she will work closely with senior members of the research team to use their extensive knowledge and capabilities.

Updating and preparing media contact lists, assist with drafting press releases and producing a regular data driven newsletter for journalists.

Responsible for following up on requests and tracking and saving all media coverage for the press clippings portfolio.

Skills required:

The person will need to be enthusiastic, well-organised and personable with great attention to detail. He/she will have excellent communication and writing skills and be comfortable on the phone working with senior editors on a daily basis. The person will have a general interest in the financial and business markets.

The position is available immediately and the candidate will need to be eligible to work in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related discipline and a proven interest in financial PR. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with up two years work experience who is keen to develop a career in financial PR.
