Research Officer now immediately required!
The role will support the work of the Research team and requires a good understanding and knowledge of the financial services industry, high level of written communication, and knowledge of appropriate research.
This role will require good people skills, knowledge of the industry and government policies, and excellent writing and editing skills to craft short news summaries, reports, white papers and other writing projects.
The Research Officer role is to conduct, compile, and analyse relevant data to a high quality, and to actively contribute to the development of the sectors research which can establish clear benchmarks of both current and future skills requirements - gaps, shortages, and priorities.
Personal Skills Required:
- Interpret and analyse data into analytical prose.
- Summarise industry reports for internal and external purposes
- Produce reports for a specific purpose, on a regular/ ad-hoc basis and presenting complex information in a clear and concise report
- Identify key trends among financial services institutions and to analyse the strategic decisions made by those companies. Often, stories must be produced on tight deadlines.
- Use analytical skills to work out what information needs to be communicated and how, using the appropriate tone of voice to communicate.
- Monitor sources of labour market, financial services and political information
- Facilitate and implement primary and secondary research through the use of interviews, consultation and quantitative research techniques.
- Contribute to projects as required to support the research and other work of the company.
- Represent the company on internal and external groups and at meetings as required.
- Prioritise workload with team needs and goals in mind.
Salary: £26,000 plus benefits
2 years career experience in a similar position?
Graduate, 2:1+ from high ranking University?
Knowledge of the Financial Services industry?
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages?
Statistical Analysis skills?
